Midsummer Country Festival

Torstow Country Festival, held every year on the ancient holiday of Midsummer, features the finest crafts fair and farmers market in the Southwest.
The focus of the celebrations is the tradition and culture of Torstow’s slice of the West Country, with traditional folk music and storytelling, a world-renowned poetry competition, and the artists and craftspeople of the city and its surroundings proudly displaying their work. Of particular note are the craft cheese and cider options that make this part of the country world-famous.
The fair draws crowds from all over the UK and is considered part of Torstow’s ‘Golden Season’ for tourists.
Torstow Harbour Festival

Torstow’s Harbour Festival is the largest single-day cultural event in the city and houses a panoply of events and performances to delight any visitor, including a rare carshow, a seafood festival, circus, family activities and of course, maritime and boating activities of every kind.

Torstow Carnival represents the full diversity of the West Country’s most lively city. With its origins in the Brazilian carnival tradition, Torstow Carnival has grown since its inception in 1970. Today, Torstow communities with South American, Central American, Caribbean, Phillipine and Pacific Island and African heritage all contribute to Britain’s most impressive display of cultural celebration.

Torstow’s annual Pride remains among the biggest and loudest in the UK, attracting acts, artists, celebrants and speakers from all over the world.
Torstow is proud to have been celebrating its annual Pride Parade since 1976, making it among the earliest regular annual events of its kind in the UK.
