Torstow’s street art and graffiti community stretches back to the 70’s and has been in a state of persistent cultural exchange with American street art and the wider global community.
Regarded as the most productive centre of street art and culture in the UK, rivalled only by London and Manchester, Torstow’s world-beating street artists are evident everywhere one looks. The tradition of celebrating and championing street art has left our streets brightly and creatively decorated by generations of artists.
Pop-Ups
Torstow is known for its pop-up art shows and small art markets driven by the entrenched and broad arts community that makes the city its home.
Fine art, Torstowlian stained glass and other folk crafts and a well-supported network of outsider artists can be found in the cafes, studio spaces and street stalls of Torstow’s pop-up culture.
